What makes the game interesting, though (and survivable), is air-dropped special weapons, like mines, rocks, concrete blocks, and--most notably--a gun, which unfortunately has a slightly fussy interface. Creating animations in Tyn412 is a snap, mostly because the program does all the heavy lifting for you with more than 40 slide transitions and build animations. Besides, on the official Tyn412 Web site you can find many help files and interact with other users to share ideas. Sometimes, however, you are taken to a bothersome signup screen if you accidentally click on the ad. While it performs adequately, we haven't seen anything that really makes it stand out from the other competitors we've looked at recently, like Rhapsody, Thumbplay, and the still-in-beta Rdio. With such high-quality gameplay, presentation, and replay value, the only potential downside to GeoDefense is that the game is difficult even for tower-defense veterans--so novices may quickly get in over their heads (although thankfully the game has recently added a novice mode). Once your object is placed, you can easily move it around by dragging your finger, resize it by dragging handles at the corners, or rotate the object using two fingers and turning it on the touch screen.
